The Work We Do

In my years of work as a therapist, I have worked with clients from all walks of life who have experienced stressful and painful events, whether it was a single event or events that occurred over a lifetime. Often when we experience challenging situations or relationships, we not only carry confusion or shame about what happened, but shame around how we learned to cope, think, or behave as a consequence. I am here to help you untangle those negative beliefs about yourself, gently examine your coping mechanisms, and help you develop tools to ground yourself in the present, not the past. I want you to know that there is hope, joy, connection, and peace on the other side.

What is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy involves regular, ongoing sessions where we connect every week for 45 minutes. Together, we delve into a spectrum of issues—ranging from persistent, long-standing challenges to more immediate concerns arising in your day-to-day life that require thoughtful processing and attention.

What does Trauma-Informed mean?

Trauma-informed care redirects attention from asking, "What's wrong with you?" to inquiring, "What happened to you?" This approach recognizes that we must understand the entirety of a person's life, encompassing both past and present, to deliver effective services with a healing-oriented perspective. It fosters holistic, person-centered, culturally aware, and strengths-based care.
