It’s nice to meet you

I’m Dena Duke, and I’m so glad you’re here. I am a relational therapist, and the connection between us is part of the work. Therapy is not about analyzing you from afar. It is about creating a real relationship that helps you feel safe enough to grow, experiment, and imagine new possibilities for yourself and your relationships. I work with individuals and couples who think deeply, feel deeply, and are ready for something in their lives to shift.

People spend years trying to figure things out on their own, carrying old stories, expectations, or patterns that no longer fit. Sometimes this shows up internally through anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm. Other times, it appears in relationships through conflict, disconnection, communication struggles, or feeling stuck in the same painful cycles. Therapy is a chance to slow down, understand what shaped you, and begin building something steadier and more true.

Success, to me, is when your inner voice becomes kinder and clearer and the things that once derailed you no longer hold the same power. Over time, relationships begin to feel safer and more connected, communication becomes more honest and intentional, and you start to feel more like yourself. More grounded. More at ease. More able to choose how you want to move through the world and your relationships instead of reacting from old wounds.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and Florida, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and hold diagnostic privilege in New York. My approach blends trauma-informed and humanistic principles with attachment theory, relational psychodynamic work, parts work, somatic awareness, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Here, you will find a space that is honest, supportive, and designed to help you build a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself and the people you love.

My Approach

I help individuals and couples notice the patterns that pull them off center, understand what their coping mechanisms have been protecting them from, and create new ways of relating to themselves and each other. You don’t have to perform here or have it all figured out. You just have to show up as you are, and we will take it from there.

Are you ready to make a change?
